I paint whimsical subjects using Aquarelles as watercolors as they bring a vivid yet chalky quality to my art. I then scan in the art and design pillows, table runners, towels, lampshades and accessories for the home. The art is printed onto fabric digitally to making it fully functional. I then cut and sew the fabric to complete the creative process.

Heidi Wetzel
It all started when in April of 1997, a course in basket weaving was offered in the nearby town of Easton. Since then, I have traveled the country and attended a number of weaving workshops with well-known artists. I participate in juried shows and exhibits in five states. In the past years, I have grown from assimilating the basics to creating works of art. My beginning was in fine and traditional wicker basketry, and I now weave with cedar bark, white and black ash, cane, paper, leather, sweet grass, as well as waxed linen, waxed sinew and hand spun yarn, and many more. I like to combine natural materials with beautiful pieces created by a potter, or hand-crafted beads. I like to add treasures found in nature. I delight in watching my creativity unfold through my weaving.
